Worship at Oakley Methodist Church
We welcome you to join us for our Sunday worship at 10.30am. Our worship is informal and we use a mix of traditional and more modern songs. Services usually last about an hour but the once a month communion sometimes takes a little longer.
Whilst Sunday services are usually held at 10:30 a.m., please see the "What's On" and the "Weekly News sheets" sections for more detailed information and any exceptions to the above times.
Every first Sunday of the month at 10.30am at the Chapel by the Pond.
Everyone is welcome to come and choose a favourite hymn and stay afterwards for light refreshments.
Recently be have begun to hold the occasional Cafe style Morning Worship. This is a more relaxed form of worship where the emphasis is on Fellowship, Fun and Food, with songs, quizzes, coffee (or tea) and tasty home-made snacks.

We like to pray for our community and have created a Prayer Mat coaster as a reminder. The prayer is given below but if you would like to print your own copy then it can be found here.
My Father - as I symbolically hold the village of Oakley in my hands I pray that You are holding every resident in Your hands and will reveal to them Your grace: Your undeserved mercy and love.
Show me how I can be salt in this community: to cleanse what is evil, preserve what is good and bring flavour to enhance and enrich peoples’ lives.
I ask for Your light to direct my life and for Your light to reflect off me to others so that they too may be led to Jesus, become Christians and live according to Your will.
I pray this in the name of Jesus, my Lord and Saviour and for His glory, Amen.
